Welcome to YourVets Coventry

Meet our Coventry team

  • Owner of lots of animals, horse rider, outdoor adventurer

Having inherited a love of animals from my mother I wanted to be a vet from the age of 7 and I never grew out of it.

Making sure upwards of 160 patients per day and their owners get great services and a consistently positive experience is a never ending challenge.  There is always more to learn from our clients about how we can best serve their needs.

When I’m not in the clinic you will find me at home with my lovely young family and animals.

    Mark Leddy, Clinical Director

  • Ex army, sports and fitness nut, saxophone player

I first joined YourVets Coventry when it was called Pet Vaccination Clinic back in 2006, just after finishing 7 years in the army.

I love the pets that visit us within our clinic, but most of all I love my big gorgeous rescue bullmastiff, Elmo!

    Catherine Thomson, Senior Receptionist

  • Marathon runner, owner of two cheeky Terriers and a rescue cat named ‘Lilly’

I joined the YourVets Coventry team in February 2013. I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London and following this spent time  working as a veterinary volunteer in Fiji. I always wanted to be a vet right from an early age and was inspired to pursue this goal after reading the ‘James Herriot’ novels.

I find the job extremely rewarding and enjoy meeting new people and their pets!

    Sophie Wyatt, Veterinary Surgeon

  • Piano player, Doctor Who fan, keen scuba diver

I started working at YourVets Coventry during my second year training and qualified in November 2012. I then became one of the inpatient nurses.

The best part of my job is nursing patients back to health and seeing them wag their tail, purr and play again, it’s a feeling that can’t be beaten!

    Emma Hake, Inpatient Nurse

  • Costume designer, owner of 2 beautiful Burmese cats

I joined YourVets Coventry 14 years ago now, as a nursing assistant and worked my way up to become Practice Manager in 2009. My job role varies day to day and there’s never a dull moment looking after the staff, clients, pets and this building!

The best part of my job is opening the thank you cards and seeing just what a difference my team make to the pets of Coventry and their owners.

    Faye Fraser, Practice manager

  • Owner of Jeffery the Rabbit, dream of becoming a horse dentist

I joined YourVets Coventry as I have always been interested in working with animals. I hope to one day complete my veterinary nursing qualification.

I really love my job meeting so many different pets every day.

    Lauren Newman, Pet Health Advisor

  • Newfoundland dog lover, horse rider, animal addict

I joined YourVets Coventry in December 2012 as a full time Receptionist. As I am a very “people” person, I love meeting our Clients.

I enjoy my job very much, and working with such an amazing team of people makes it even better.

    Sandra Brookes, Receptionist

  • Avid dog owner, chicken keeper

I joined YourVets Coventry back in 2009, since then both my role and the clinic we work in has changed dramatically! My job is to organize and run the busy general and orthopedic theatres and ensure the smooth running of the back of house facilities.

I love my job as it is so varied and the team I work with are great.

    Kelly Fisher, Head of Theatre

  • Mother to 2 human boys and 2 feline boys, music fan

Being a Vet Nurse is all I’ve ever wanted to do right from a very young age so working at YourVets Coventry is like realising a dream (and I must like it as I’ve been here for 9 years!). I love being able to use my skills to help make pets better or even save their lives.

The best part of my job is working with the incredible team we have here at YourVets Coventry, helping each other whenever needed and constantly striving to improve what we offer to our patients and our clients.

Michelle Oughton (Mo), Student Veterinary Nurse

  • Dad, drummer, mountain adventurer

I joined YourVets Coventry in July 2012 because of the fantastic opportunity to improve my skills here at this beautiful clinic.

The best part of my job is to see a pet happy and well, and to know that what I’ve done was useful and made somebody happy.

Dantés, Valentina, Luigi and Mercedes are my pets. I do enjoy spending time with them, especially with my little blind poodle cross Edmundo Dantés

    Matteo Armato, Head of Surgery

  • Bookworm, clinical coach, cat owner

I’ve been nursing for over 15 years, and joined YourVets Coventry this year to further expand my nursing skills.

I’ve got 3 cute cats- Marmite, Booboo and Shadow, and a dog called Lex.

    Helen Gotevbe, Inpatient Vet Nurse

  • Siberian Husky owner, cake maker, Disney fan

I joined YourVets in 2011 as a Pet Health Advisor, I did this for a year and then started my training as A Student Vet Nurse in September 2012.

I love learning new things every day and being part of helping nurse animals back to health.

    Natalie Lawlor, Student Veterinary Nurse

  • Owner of 2 beagles, 5 rescue cats, 6 snakes and a bearded dragon!

I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse back in 2006 and joined the YourVets Coventry nursing team in 2011 where I have since become Deputy Head Nurse. I have always loved animals, especially cats, since I was a small child so a career with animals was inevitable for me.

I love how each day brings different challenges and of course the occasional cuddle from a kitten or puppy is nice too!

Caroline Waistell, Deputy Head Theatre Nurse

  • Border Terrier parent, footie fan, joker

I love bonding with the animals and building up a good relationship with our customers, chatting with our regular clients and making a fuss of our regular visitors. I love working with animals all shapes and sizes.

I also love being the bubbly member of the team and making my work colleagues smile!!!!

    Danii Eardley, Pet Health Advisor
