Mark Leddy – Clinic Director
I qualified from Liverpool University’s vet school in 1993 and completed a postgraduate degree (MBA) at the University of Warwick in 2012. Having been introduced to the clinic by Janet Martin (a fellow student at Warwick and the current chief executive of YourVets), I came to do a short consultancy project at the end of my MBA in 2011. As a result of that project I was delighted to be offered the role as Clinic Director of YourVets24 in Coventry in October 2012.
I’m part of a very animal orientated family with our current menagerie of dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and horses. I wanted to be a veterinary surgeon since I was 7 years old and never grew out of it and have a wife that is even less inclined than me to say no to another pet!
Life at YourVets is a constant challenge and there are always new and interesting ways to find of improving the service we offer to our clients and patients. My role spans everything from managing the 24 hour care that we provide to working directly on the front line in consultations and the operating theatre.
When I’m not working you’ll find me out and about with my family or looking after the needs of our extended family of four legged friends.
Faye Fraser – Practice Manager RVN
I joined YourVets in 2000 to further my career in animal care, prior to this I worked for the RSPCA for six years, gaining qualifications in animal welfare and management. In 2004 I qualified as a veterinary nurse then was promoted to head nurse two years later. In 2009 I became the practice manager of the Coventry branch.
My job entails all sorts but principally looking after the customers, pets and staff, ensuring that the team provides an excellent level of veterinary care.
My love of animals extends to my home life too. I share my house with two very spoilt cats – Sorrell a chocolate Burmese and Berri a seal point Siamese, both rescue cats, one of which requires lifelong medical care and Ivy a Carolina corn snake – who just requires a plentiful supply of frozen mice!
I love my role at YourVets; it gives me immense satisfaction knowing that so many pets and their owners have access to our truly affordable and professional veterinary service.
Katy Wragg – Head Vet
I graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in the year 2000 with a degree in veterinary medicine and immediately started work at a mixed practice in Stratford upon Avon. After 3 years I decided to concentrate exclusively on small animals and returned to my home city of Coventry…I have been here ever since!
I enjoy being part of this close-knit team here at the Coventry YourVets, working hard to provide people with good quality veterinary care.
When not working I can often be found running cross country with my Jack Russell terrier Harry!
Kelly Bridge – Senior Theatre Nurse
Hi, I’m Kelly, the senior theatre nurse at the Coventry branch of YourVets. I’ve been qualified for over 2 years, but have been working with animals for almost 15. I love my job as every day is different. Working here gives me a real sense of job satisfaction because it feels like we’re really making a difference – and there aren’t many jobs you can say that about!
I’ve got lots of pets of my own: 2 Jack Russells, 2 cats and 4 rescued battery hens called Ada, Barbara, Doris and Molly!
